PADI RESCUE DIVING SKILLS IN THE POOL

Pool Rescue Skills
Learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver. This workshop is conducted in our pool and credits towards the full Rescue Course for later on in your career.

What's included in this course:


  • Minimum age for this course is 12yrs
  • This pool course can be completed after the open water course
  • This is  a practical pool lesson from the Rescue Diver course (all the 10 skills and the scenarios)
  • Learn basic CPR for rescuing
  • You will need to complete the PADI continuing in education paperwork
  • Complete two pool sessions, practicing ten skills and two rescue scenarios 


Extras not included in the course:

Any scuba kit (but it is available to hire)

No PADI materials (but available if you would like to purchase as an extra)

No Certification unless you decide to carry on with the full course


Description
Scuba divers describe the PADI Pool Rescue Diver Workshop as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the Workshop, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the workshop is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.

Please note the skills are the same as you will learn on the full Padi Rescue Course, this is designed to give you more confidence to accompany your early diving years. The workshop includes a little classroom and two pool sessions.

 Academic
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

Self rescue
  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Rescuing panicked divers
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers
